Risen est un jeu de rôle sur 360 qui se déroule au sein d'un univers médiéval sur une île volcanique de Méditerranée. L'histoire de Risen se dévoile à travers quatre chapitres et le joueur pourra, par ses actions et ses choix, faire évoluer vers une multitude de possibilités.
