Demolition Racer: No Exit is a combination of standard racing and demolition derby arenas, similar in presentation to San Francisco Rush 2049. DR: No Exit doesn't have shortcuts, though.
The racing portion has 15 easy, non-twisty tracks that allow for more intense car-to-car ramming action than would be possible if you had to focus too much on steering tight turns (i.e. Road Rash).
Surprisingly for this type of game, invincibility and endurance power-ups are incorporated into the game play.
One of the game's best features is the chicken mode, where drivers are going in both directions around the tracks, making head-on collisions a real risk.
Several more features can be unlocked, as described on page 28 of the manual. Too many games never tell you how to unlock features, much less what is available to unlock. This is not one of those games, and it deserves points for that.
